Event Technology
I started as an event technician in 2013. Since then I worked on a variety of events. I was involved a lot in the MICE sector but also concerts and festivals.
I’m the head of event technology at Kolla Festival since 2017. My responsibilities are to set up all event technology aspects of the festival, including stages, sound, lighting and the temporary electronic grid for the entire festival. In the planning phase I’m doing a feasible and price efficient plan, including sizes and design of stages, calculating the electric needs of the different areas and setting up a distribution plan. Then listing needed equipment and being the contact person for the partnered rental companies. On the production itself my responsibilities include the coordination and briefing of the different contributors on ground and actively help to build the production.

- Building construction out of trussing
- Setting up sound systems and lights
- Building risers
- Calculating and setting up a temporary electrical grid
- Cabling all kinds of different devices (Audio, DMX, …)
- Driving box vans up to 3.5 tons
